The definition of expression is conveying of thoughts or feelings: the communication of thoughts or feelings. For example directly to another person or through a work of art. The definition of art is a creation of beautiful things: the creation of beautiful or thought-provoking works. For instance in a painting, music, or writing. Put the two together and you have the best form of expression known to man.
To me art is the best form of expression. Many that have something to say express themselves with different forms of art. I say this because of the fact that many understand what the artist is trying to voice with their work of art. Graffiti artist for example use spray cans to precise their artwork on local buildings to the public. Others express themselves by drawing, painting, printmaking, writing as well as making music.
Art the unsurpassed form of expression that shows the world how we the people are feeling. Many use art to express themselves and don’t even know it. Just think of all those times we draw a smiley face, a doodle on our notebook or look at a print on a t-shirt that someone is wearing. Those are all forms of art that are being expressed right in front of us and we don‘t even pay attention to them. The person drawing on their notebook and even the person wearing the t-shirt with that print are all expressing how they feel in that moment.
Anyone can use art as a form of expression but few understand what the artist is trying to express. This form of expression is also a form of communicating. Communicating and expressing by the way of art to each other what’s more the world. The expression of life through the form of art. Is there anything better than that?
